Hi there,

I just bought my first Saab 9-3. It's a 2.0 SportCombi Wagon, and I truly love it.

The 120 000 miles is coming up soon, but the car is running amazing. The only thing I really feel it is missing out on is the power on the lower gears. Now I have read that the engine is limited on the first two gears, or rather the turbo.

I know this wouldn't be an earth shattering difference, but I hear that with a manual boost control, I could at least have the turbo spin up a bit better on the first two gears.

I have searched the forum for this, but haven't found anything specific. Is there anyone that could help me shed some light on this?

(also this seems like a pretty cheap first tuning step to get some more Ooomph out of the car :D )

Tuner could turn that off. More power all over.

for sure you can turn it off. But why?
goes faster once out of 1/2
risk it will blow up engine
Why not: spikes break trans pdq
torque steer and wheel spin no lsd is pointless
power hop breaks trans
open diffs loose star gears from wheel spin

the choice is easy. More you screw with it the softer it gets
