My soft top only works manually. When I open back storage area there are two cables that appear to do nothing, they are not connected. What are they for?

The previous owner had wired switch inside boot to lock and unlock top. I need to pull handle which locks top down as well. I have noticed one cylinder is leaking RHS. How many sensors are there in the operation of my 1999 93 convertible.I have found two.

Can any one point me to where can get break down of my Soft top. Previous own said top would work that's why he rewired switch in boot area and changed to manual operation.
