Hi All,
It may be time to replace my brake booster - I'd rather have a new one and not send mine out to refurbishment.
From what I have been able to find out my booster is part no. 4543872, which is no longer manufactured, and the master cylinder is 4543930.
From the sticker on the booster it is ATE 03.7752-4402.4, which I can't find.

I understand that from 2000/2001 the booster and master cylinder were changed to part nos. 5232590 and 5233705.
The booster is ATE 03.7750-2932.4 and widely available.

Does anyone know if I can I swap my booster to the 2001 5232590 without replacing the master cylinder as well?
Any other options available for a clean swap to a new booster?

Many thanks,
Guy

Are you certain the booster is bad? It was sounding like mine had gone south, but it ended up being bad check valves on the vacuum line. Similar symptoms as a leaking booster.

Not sure yet, but I have to take it into account with over 260,000 miles on the odometer - be prepared as they say. I do hope its the valve, but I replaced that whole hose a couple of years ago. Thanks!
