My front engine mount top-bracket has broken. I found a replacement ($15) and need some help on changing this - is it possible to do w/o removing the major components?
I removed the lower skid plate an jacket the front of the engine slightly but not enough to clear the mount bolt - I hesitate to go further but stuck.

I would assume it's a 900S by your log in.
If it is the front mount is not hard to do at all.
Watch that you don't poke your rad and support the engine, that's pretty much it in a nutshell.
Don't lift to high as to damage the other mounts.

Pretty straightforward. Not sure if your 900S is a turbo in the US. It is in UK. If so, it helps to remove the turbo intake pipe so you can get your arms in. Don't need remove skid plate. Just jack the engine enough to remove bolt taking care not to strain anything. I think I removed fastening to exhaust down pipe. Not difficult at all.

Thanks gentlemen, it was fairly easy as you said. I removed the skid plate to gently jack the engine high enough to clear the mount from the frame bracket to remove the bolt - all went well after that. its a 900S 2.1L convertible
regards...
