Description: 16 valve ’89 900 Turbo (4 door sedan) is everything you’re looking for in a Classic Saab. The 900 Turbo sedan was only made two years – ’85 and ’89. Only 177K miles. Everything original. Southern, 99% rust free gem. Original cirrus white paint job. Clearcoat still shines like new. New Headliner. Tan Leather seats (two seam rips on front and passenger seats – quoted repair at $75). Back seat immaculate. Freshly redyed carpets. New speakers (front and rear deck). Original radio and clarion EQ. New muffler from cat back. 02 Sensor replaced. Newer alternator (2014). New power steering hoses and reservoir. New battery. New fuel filter. New front ball joints. New inner driver bearing. New Bosch fog lights. Roof rack. Tires 65%. Recently replaced distributor/hall sensor. Turbo pulls beautifully (replaced 40K miles ago). Power windows. Power mirrors. Power sunroof. A/C recharged this past summer. COLD. Heat works very well, too. Cruise control works. Turn signal stalk rebuilt. Trunk is huge. (Fit 3 golf bags, a marine cooler and two duffle bags in there on one trip. Recently took it on an 1100 mile round trip from South Carolina to Florida). The only thing that doesn’t work is the heated seats. Gets 21 MPG with steady city driving. Have gotten up to 33 MPG on highway. Have MPG information stored on a fuelly.com account. Passenger floor pan just cut out and re-welded with new steel due to water leakage rust in past. All rust in floor pans ground out, sprayed with rust-busting paint, and then protected with bedliner. Water leak on passenger side with heavy rain, unable to locate source of leak. Sunroof drains clear, and A/C condensor drains clear. Small rust bubble on sunroof. (see picture). Cracked dash like most 900's, but custom matching carpet dash mat covers it great. See pictures. Happy to provide an electronic compilation of all past service records. Also any other pictures upon request. EMAILS - INCLUDE "SAAB 900 TURBO" in the subject line. Or Call 864-621-0393 with questions. Email and Calls only.

Car is Sold, for the record.

I rebuilt the turn signal stalk. There's a good thread on here on how to rebuild it. Basically take apart the switch housing and re-groove the channels. Use a dremel or a small needle file. However, my initial rebuild didn't solve the problem of it falling down (turns on left turn signal) when I hit large bumps in the road (though it did solve the issue of the signal staying in a particular position and returning to center). Possibly a bad spring. Not sure. So if you rebuild it, dont super glue the housing back together until you are sure you have fixed the issue. Use a combination of electrical tape and then a thin zip tie around it. Good luck.
