Hey, Is the little microswitch that cuts off the AC at WOT responsible for anything else as well? This is on a MY 1985 SPG.

Bentley makes no mention of it, I removed my AC long ago and today
while messing around under the hood I snapped one of the connectors of the
microswitch.

Made no difference in driveability whatsoever.

TIA

Comfortably:

If you have modified the car to use the second radiator fan operate based upon the signal from the A/C cooling thermostat in the radiator hose near the front of the car, this will affect that set up.

If you're like most (all?) who have removed the A/C, the second fan either doesn't work at all or it is wired in parallel to the other fan, so it probably makes no difference to you.

Thanks.

I read somewhere that on the MY-85 the microswitch somehow
triggered a feature at WOT for running richer, but dont know anything about it.

that's the TPS that does that. the microswitch is something of a mystery to me, and why it was done so differently on the 85's then any other year is a real ??
