Dear Fellow SAAB 99 owners: I am doing my best to spruce up my beautiful 1976 Topaz 4-door manual 99 GL. I discovered something a little odd yesterday, and wonder if someone knows something about this. There is a coolant line and a return line that has been added to the smaller (upper) side of the large curved connector from the air filter to the throttle housing (8386351). The two coolant lines snake through to the fuel pump cover. There may be a retro-fitted connector on the pump cover, but I can't quite see in there. At the end of the smaller end of the curved connector is an internal brass fitting, which I assume is some kind of circulation chamber? What is this oddity?
