I have an issue with my 96 V4, reverse gear grinds when trying to select it, even coming from a parked stop. No other gears do this but I'm suspecting synchros are maybe smoothing out a dragging clutch. Should I try bleeding first? Or is this an issue of a worn release arm?

Does anything change if you pump the pedal a few times?

Bleeding is the easiest thing to do by far lol. But if it’s only reverse, you’re probably in for a gearbox rebuild at some point.
