What's the manufacturing date on the tires? The pictures aren't great, but I don't see the little "X-Ice 3" logo that's on my tires. So these may be pretty old, maybe even plain old X-Ice.

Also, when I see that many balance weights, I think there's something wrong with the tires, or, likely, rims are bent.

Thanks for the inquiry regarding the tires/wheels. I have them in my climate controlled workshop so will take me a couple of days to get you the date codes.
My recollection is they’re 4 or 5 years old at this point in time. They’ve been off the car for past couple of years so only 2-3 winters of use with little miles as the car was mostly in the garage since we mainly use 4Runner during winter months.
The wheels show no evidence or indication of any bends. More than likely the weights are from the tire installer being a bit over zealous as I made it a point to tell him I wanted to be sure I had no vibration issues.
There were zero vibrations or tracking issues when mounted on the car. Actually the car never drove so smooth.
I’ll get you the exact date codes if you’re interested though I imagine the distance to Canada my make this not worthwhile in terms of shipping however NY is a great place to visit if you‘re up for a roadtrip.

To be clear, I am not interested in buying these. I have good X-Ice3 tires on Saab steel rims that are good for years more. But providing the date info might help find a purchaser.

If you have high-res versions of the pictures, you may be able to read date codes from them. The posted pics don't show anything when magnified.

Tires purchased winter of 2018 with date codes 32 & 33rd weeks of 2017.
My bad, between 5-6 years and not 3-4 years…….like the saying goes, the older we get the faster time passes
I honestly can say these tires were fantastic in the winter weather here in NYS and transformed the handling in snow and ice.

A little odd that they used clip on rim weights, shops around here all use stick on weights that go on the inside of the wheels.

Depends on the tire shops and the wheel design as many in my rural area prefer to use the clip on weights. They claim less of a chance to lose the weight vs the stick on style, especially when the rims have a lip to securely hold the clip on style.
