2002 Aero still wouldn't start...checked the started connections they are intact. Did not check the CPS as yet, but saw a thread mentioning the Neutral Safety Switch (NSS) could be a problem in car not starting. Tried to start it again yesterday, and I noticed the dash lights dimmed and heard a ticking like sound coming from the driver side behind the dash or could be under hood in that direction. Any suggestions. Also, is it easy to remove the NSS, or is there a way to test to see if its good.

I don't know about the NSS but it sounds like a battery issue, ticking sounds is most probably the starter selinoid. Not enough juice in the battery will not make it come right out and engage the flywheel and then obviously the starter doesn't have enough juice to turn anything either so the selinoid retracts.
