Hi! So I’m swapping my turbocharged b204 from a ‘95 900 SE into my ‘98 900 S. I’ve done research, and it appears pretty much everything is compatible. I just want to double check: the connection from the engine wiring harness to the dashboard should be the same for both right? Also, will I need to add a rear lambda sensor to make it OBDII compliant? Thanks in advance!

I think pretty much everything is different. The non-turbo is a Bosch Motronic engine management system. The turbo is a T5 Trionic (Saab) system.

You should download WIS and study the wiring diagrams. I don't think this swap is worth doing, unless you are doing it for masochism fun.

Main connector is same. If you swap whole engine with electrics, it is pretty simple.

Thanks! That’s what I was hoping. I do plan on dropping the turbo engine in with its wiring harness. Other thing is, can I pass an OBDII inspection by disabling catalytic diagnostics? I’ve got the hardware and software to flash Trionic.
