  1. I was driving on the freeway and my fans stopped working.

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
Hey gang, I was driving on the Freeway today and had to punch it, I got a CEL and my AC stopped working, pulled the tech 2 and I got codes for both fan control circuits. Does this mean it's the relay? I've replaced it with a brand new one including both fans less than a year ago. Thoughts?
  2. P0033 Error Code After Initial Fix

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
I have a 2004 9-3. For a while my car was throwing the P0033 error code, usually on the highway when quickly accelerating and braking. I would lose boost power and my car would be very slow to accelerate. After searching for help on this forum, I managed to fix the problem by replacing the...
  3. Passenger window control cables go off spool

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
The window goes up/down with a motor that turns a spool for which two cables are attached allowing the window to go up or down depending on direction of rotation. The cables come off the spools which is my problem. Anyone seen this and have any recommendation for how to resolve?
  4. 2000 SAAB 9-5 Wagon -Climate control panel no lightening

    9-5 Workshop
I wish it'd be as simple as 1 bulb out or dead pixels . Both these are well known issues , but, my SAAB 9-5 wagon's ( 2000 ) climate control display was on for just a brief period and on just 1 occasion, thereafter, it has never really shone the way a display should . I am not able to discern...
  5. 2003 93 blower motor not working - intermitently

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
My blower motor stopped working correctly. It stops, it comes back on, it's weird. I tried this well known and suggested thread and it's still doing it. (BTW it's 7 SCREWS if you want to take the fan housing down! Remember it now...
  6. Wanted: Digital Information Control/Display for 99 9.3

Parts for Sale/Wanted - North America
I think that is what it is called. The display above the radio that shows stations and warning, mpg, etc. Apparently these things are notorious for breaking... anyone have one that they KNOW works? Also - I need to see pics to make sure it is the correct unit. I think there were a couple of...
  7. Broken plastic heater valve tab

    C900 Workshop
8So I have heard that a common thing to check when you're not getting heat is to see if the control rod has been dislodged from the plastic housing it's supposed to fit in. The problem I have with mine, however, is where the plastic housing has broken off the white plastic bit that is attached...
  8. Coolant bypass in late-prod years?

    C900 Workshop
EPC shows two different coolant hose arrangements for late-prod years - one which has two hoses to the heater valve as normal, and one which has some sort of a bypass arragnement. What is that all about? I haven't found any evidence of my 92 car having anything other than the regular setup (and...
  9. cruise control has never worked

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Slowly but surely I'm getting through the list of issues with my Viggen. One thing that I only notice when I'm taking a much longer drive is that my cruise control has not worked since I bought the car 2+ years ago. I'd like it to work. I don't know where to begin troubleshooting, short...
  10. Driver side clunks

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
First off, I tried searching in the forums for the symptoms I am having but I cannot tell if my problems are a strut mount, stanchion, or control arm bushing, and I'm hoping a pro can lead me to the correct one with my descriptions. Also, I'd like to say I'm a first time Saab owner as of...
