  1. AC/Heater Blower Motor

    9-5 Workshop
Recently acquired a 2006 9-5 wagon. I was told the AC did not work but upon inspection it is the blower motor not working. Does not work on any settings whether heater or AC related. My question is what is the most common reason for blower motor not to work on a Saab 9-5?
  2. ACC Inop

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Recently purchased 99 9-3 and the ACC panel appears to be inop, as in no power going to the ACC box itself -no lights display, buttons don't do anything, unable to pull up error codes, no hot air, no cold air, no defrost, nothing. Fuses are fine, switched out with another ACC box and still...
  3. ACC issues again.

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
Replaced a bad fan regulator (or what I thought was) back in August. All was well and good/great when it was installed, after it had stopped blowing consistently. The weather here in VT has been disgusting, then freezing, so it's an immediate issue. Bought a new Valeo off ebay. Looked...
  4. AC doesn't work at highway speeds (but not what you think...?)

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
So I have a lovely, black, Saab 9-3 with mods here and there, but those aren't relevant. My problem is that the AC stops working at highway speeds, and as my title states, it's not what you think. If I keep the AC at fully-cold it stays cold and blows fine, but I get cold as a dead astronaut...
  5. A/C Heater Blower Fan Woes

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
2002 9-3 SE 5 Dr ACC The Blower in my wife's car just quit. No warning, funny noises, intermittent problems, it just quit. No Hi speed, No Lo speed, no nothing. Nada. All fuses, even the ones under the hood are good. The relays all check out OK.I removed the cabin filter and spun the fan. It...
  6. DIY: 9-7x Blower Motor Resistor Replacement

    Saab 9-2X, 9-4X & 9-7X Workshop
I created this DIY when my wife's 2008 9-7x battery died. As it turns out, the blower motor didn't turnoff. Even with the key out and vehicle locked, the blower stayed on. Always! After doing a little research, it turns out that the culprit is a resistor behind the blower motor. I ended up...
  7. Blower motor doesnt turn off

    Saab 9-2X, 9-4X & 9-7X Workshop
Suddenly the blower motor on my 9-7x isn't turning off. I did some research and forum searching and found several threads about this happening to a 9-3. http://www.saabcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=286986 This thread helped in that I was able to pull the fuse and get the blower to stop...
  8. 2003 9-3 Linear - ACC Blower Motor Resistor

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
My car has the VERY common issue of the A/C running at full speed when the car is turned off and the key removed. I currently have to pull the orange fuse to keep my battery from draining. Most of the threads I am reading (i have very limited connectivity at the moment) only pertain to cars...
  9. Bird-like sounds coming from blower

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
Seems like an odd topic for a car forum, but it does exactly what it says. The blower unit behind the glovebox makes all sorts of tweets, chirps and other bird-related noises. Especially when it is cold. When the car is up to temperature and the inside of the cabin is too, the sounds disappear...
  10. ACC Blower Not Blowing - Corroded Ground Wire?

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Well, the ACC picked a great day to stop working. First it was smelling funny (organic, musty, burning, not coolant or sulfur). It's totally pouring rain today in SF, but oh well! Off to troubleshoot. Here's what I tried: Cleaned the filter and the filter area (Lots of leaves. Cleaned up...
  11. '05 9-3 Arizona A/C Problem

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
Alright, I've been mowing over a few posts on here about this situation but I thought I'd just ask for a bit of help. First it started with the stepper actuator for the re-circulator clicking for a few seconds when the button was pressed. Nothing is lodged in stepper itself and I can see the...
  12. Can you help me identify this part.

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
i need to replace this part(fig1, fig2, fig3, fig4, fig5) that I thought was called the Blower Fan Resistor, but when i research the part I get this similar looking part as the result (fig6). The reason need to replace this part is because my fan is not working, no heat not AC, i mean this...
