Can I use a transmission from a 1995 9000 cse 2.3 turbo as a replacement for the stock tranny in my non-turbo 97 900s?

I,ve had a few leaking oil seals which i am in the process of fixing(driveshaft,crankcase) but i noticed a bit of weeping coming from this area around the rack(see photo). Does anybody know if this part is serviceable,can i renew seals etc or is this just age related? My car is a 1997 900...
