Bought as a fixer upper. Spent lots of time fixing different things from minor to major. Wrapping up air distribution box replacement currently. Heater mode control shaft broke due to internal drive fork breakage jamming operation of internal rotary drum. Purchased a junk yard air distribution box, only to find out the mechanism was broke in that one too. Soldiered through a Rube Goldberg repair of the fork mechanism and reinstalled the air distribution box and dash. I am guessing this is a common problem with a manual heater in this vintage Saab 9-3. . .
