History
I purchased this car a few weeks ago (Dec '12) with a known blown engine as it will be my daughter's first car, $600 US. I have all the original documents including the window sticker. This car sold for almost $50k new!! WOW!

It has a 1 year old top. I already installed the used engine and it runs perfectly. Now for the interior issues such as the sid2, the hvac controller and the soft top going up and down. Some tweaks here and there and she'll have a hot first car. The SID and Hvac have been replaced, new n.s.s., rebuilt starter, new fuel pump and battery. Replaced the l/f headlight assy as it was cracked, as well as the r/f fog lamp. I'm down to just straightening out the poor repairs that were done by the previous owner. I now have the Saab 32mb card for my Tech2 so diagnosing the top will come easy. After scanning the soft top codes, and utilizing WIS, I found the left tonneau cover micro-switch needed adjustment and the right micro-switch had a piece of plastic jammed in it. The top works perfectly now.

2/6/13

I just purchased a 2002 9-3 SE Vert for the wife, very similar to my daughter's '99. Tan leather interior. Nice solid car and everything works perfectly.

The green 99 was totaled by a hit and run driver 8/13. The car was T boned into the driver door by a SUV. My daughter and two friends walked away without a worry.

I bought her another 99 convertible base model. And I bought myself an 01 SE convertible. Fun cars. Now I have three of these plus the wrecked parts car.
