2009 Saab 9-3SS; 2.0T FWD (Snow Silver)

April 2015, 160,000 Km: VTuner Stage 1 with 18XT Turbo + larger injectors and Snow Performance Water/Meth injection, replacing a Maptun ecu-only tune. Transformational and utterly linear...

[BTW: Brian reported that the original turbo was not looking good, some oil, and up for replacement anyways, this despite my meticulous, every 7500 KM or so oil changes, since new]

From Vermont Tuning FB page: "Stage 1 upgrade including a custom XT turbo upgrade, a set of flow matched Bosch 485CC EV14 injectors, Denso Iridium plugs, K&N filter and a Snow Performance Stage 2 methanol/water injection system to keep the thermal loads under control."

Maptun Stage 3 (1st stage since 8000 km; other bits from 100,000 km); GenuineSaab [GS] 3 inch downpipe; Saab aftermarket dual exhaust; K&N filter; Silicone hoses throughout (blue-
Hirsch dash (courtesy of Kanundrum!); Turbo X steering wheel; EBay Hirsch-alike metal pedals

Not shown in picture: Interior handles now wrapped in carbon fiber + shift knob and transmission surround (not 3M ...but actual carbon fiber weave, wet -- Kudos to Joe Hall at Carbon Construction [CC], Florida --see CC FB for more info)
August 2015: Hirsch Carbon extensions added
July 2015: Glutton/Punishment-- splitters back on! Actual wet carbon weave, not 3M , courtesy of Joe Hall [Carbon Graphics] [UPDATE, Aug'15: Alas....removed again...just not practical...but painted area where splitter resided gloss black...for splitter look]
August 2014-- Splitters too much for Toronto Moonscape...had to remove (at least with car lowered 35mm). SAAB Side stripe added; 3m Carbon wrapped lights....on inside w larger Projectors! (courtesy of BoostCustoms).
Hirsch splitters; Saab spoiler (aftermarket); Clearbra [lights too]; Hirsch grill; carbon fiber wrapped roof and under-grill cross bar; 2012 blue tinted lights [NeoBros],euro-style (minus orange blisters)+HID conversion; tinted windows 35%/20% rear; tinted rear lights; fog lights [Saab accessory]; de-badged--but Dave Barton mooses added under side indicator lamps :)

Graphics provided by Donna Coupe [Abshot Signs, UK]. Installation of graphics, tint, clear bra and roof wrap, stripe by Thornhill Tints.

Purchased 'Front Lower Decor Strip Spoiler, Genuine Saab 9-3 Sport 08-12' from Neo Bros (30 Bucks!) and wrapped/dipped in carbon fiber.
Kenwood DNX570HD + backup camera [Boyo] + steering wheel controls [Swc]. Criticism: unit is not good with bumps...causes USB (with music) to reset....too often!!!

All installed by Nima Jalilivand [Future Shop, Airport Rd, Brampton].

Swc interface (only used for adjusting volume up and down, changing radio stations) and Double DIN Cage, fascia, etc. (you'll need a bunch of not inexpensive parts to make it fit+ shipping from UK) to be found at:

Backup Camera can be sourced seperately (I bought Boyo VTB123HD Flush Mount Camera CMOS w parking grid lines, off Amazon -- much less expensive than Kenwood equivalent)
Maptun strutbar; Maptun springs + Bilstein B8 lowering 35mm [Perfect stance, better handling, bit firmer ride-- but not objectionable]; GS Brembo brakes + stainless steel lines [Wow!]

Next: Poly bushings?; 3 point brace waiting to put on...
Wheel and Tire
Saab Ronal 17x8 wheels (powder-coated, gun-metaled from original silver);General G-Max AS-03 235/45-17 [N.B: Brembo calipers BARELY clear;spacers (3mm Maptun ones) added w longer bolts--very subtle...might have gone 5mm...more than that would be too much on an 8 inch wide wheel of such offset].

Winter: 17x7.0 SSW rims, powder coated w Michelin X-ice 3 215/50-17 (+ 15mm spacers, needed to clear Brembos at front...and slapped on same, rear)
