Saab Turbo X
93 Turbo X (6 Speed)
Cold Weather, Touring
Lived the majority of its life in Texas, sold to the second owner in California at about 95k miles, somehow I ended up buying it around 110k, now lives in SoCal.
I got into Saabs when I was looking for my first car around 2 years ago. Something about the uniqueness, the character, and the history of the brand captivated me. I ended up settling on a 2.0T NG93, with a 6 speed manual (of course), and drove it for about a year, putting around 12k miles on over the course of that year. I loved the car, the way the turbo whistled, the smooth (albeit long) clutch, and the way you could just throw its weight around. But I wanted something more. So I started looking for a Turbo X, which is extremely rare over in California, with the number being around the low teens. After searching for around 6 months, I finally tracked this gorgeous example down. The previous owner was another Saab enthusiast, and took impeccable care of the car. He built a custom exhaust, which might make the purists unhappy, but they are quick to shut up when they hear this thing purr. The best way to describe it would be similar to a mustang 5.0, but missing two cylinders, and a slight turbo spool thrown in the mix. The car is otherwise mostly stock, with 10mm spacers on each wheel, which I think only accentuates the road presence. Other mods include a stage 0 tune from Vermont Tuning, as well as a Hirsch grille. The car is well optioned, with the Touring and Cold Weather package from the factory. Point is, I love this car, and just wanted to share it with fellow enthusiasts, I hope you can appreciate it as much as I can. I plan on driving it until the wheels fall off, and then putting new ones on and driving it some more!
