For some reason there is no "edit" button on a thread I created in the for sale section. I would like to edit this post. Any ideas?
  5. Refinishing BBS RK2 your thoughts

    Wheels & Tires
I'm really glad I went for the black powdercoat for the centers, looked amazing on my black wagon and I got compliments all the time.
  6. Popping sound from my Stereo

    9-5 Workshop
What you have done here is wire your head unit so that it uses it's own crappy amplifier as your amp instead of the saab amplifier. You need to use the rca outputs if you want to use an external amplifier. You also will need to use ground loop isolaters if you use the stock SAAB amp with an...
  7. Installed an open air filter .. Now it makes a humming noise???

    9-5 Performance, Mods & Tuning
It sounds like you should make sure your vacuum hoses are connected properly before you do anything else.

This thread is 4 years old...I wonder if he ever painted it.
  9. Oil

    9-5 Performance, Mods & Tuning
I ran 5w-40 turbo diesel all the time, but it is getting harder to find in stock. If Mobil 1 is on special I just get the 0w-40 now if the 5w-40 is not in stock.
  10. 2003 9-5 died on the road

    9-5 Workshop
I could tell right away when my fuel pump died. It died at an Autozone parking lot funny enough. The guy at Autozone wanted to test it, but I knew what it was. I just put the rear seats up and turned on the ignition to ON from the back seat to see if it made noise. When it is dead it will...
  11. 20/55/16 Winter Tires

    9-5 Workshop
I run 205/55/16 for winter tires. I think they fit the smaller wheels better as well.

  13. Yet another tire thread - 225 vs. 235

    Wheels & Tires
I personally think that the difference between 225 and 235 is not substantial enough. Plus the 225 tires are cheaper. The stock size for my 8" wheels is 225.
  14. Driving with a Faulty Temp Sensor

    9-5 Workshop
I would replace your thermostat as well as the coolant temp sensor whenever you have a chance. I drove around like that for about a year so it's definitely not an issue, just as long as the thermostat isn't stuck closed which would cause it to overheat instead of being to cold.
  15. what did you do to your car today?

    9-5 Workshop
You can try to clean the MAF first, but you probably have to replace it.
  16. Wagon owners...should I remove this???

    9-5 Workshop
I would never go through an automatic car wash with my car, but that's me. I would pick a nice day before it starts to get really cold to do a hand wash, put a nice coat of wax on and then put another coat of wax on when spring comes.

  18. Winter Preps

    9-5 Workshop
You will have trouble somewhere eventually if you are using all seasons, even if you are driving around Boston. I use to use all seasons, but I was tired of having people pass me while I was trying to get up a small hill in the snow.
  19. Help! Alignment out from Crash

    9-5 Workshop
I would advise against using 2 bolts on one side for your safety, it is bad enough having one on there. One bolt for one side should be good enough anyways, I doubt that your camber was any worse than mine was. You install it in place of the top bolt that attaches the knuckle to the strut.
  20. Help! Alignment out from Crash

    9-5 Workshop
I had the same thing happen to me, some lady in a Denali hit my Saab in the front driver side corner. After everything was repaired the left front camber was too negative. I believe that this is due to the strut tower being slightly off and it would be a real PITA to fix it. I went for the...
