  1. V6 19T Install

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
The NG 9-5 and 9-4X had the 19T stock.
  2. 2.8 boost problems

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
I’d bet $20 that this wastegate would work: https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/auto-parts/2011/cadillac/srx/performance-trim/2-8l-v6-gas-engine/engine-cat/turbocharger-and-components-scat Edit: Crap, that turbo is a 19T and yours is a 15T. Might still work but I’m worried the linkage is a...

Nice pickup on this car. Looks like a great deal and in nice shape. Keep up the good work!
  4. 2.8 boost problems

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
I believe that code is overboost, so the actuator might be sticking closed as well. A quick check on esaabparts shows the wastegate actuator as exorbitantly expensive. Maybe Brian at VTuner has a better option anyway.
  5. Vermont Tuning for Saab NG9-5 2.0T Stage 0 270hp 290 ft lbs

Parts for Sale/Wanted - North America
Likely doesn’t matter since the VIN in that ECM would not match the VIN in the TCM and BCMs throughout the rest of the car.
  6. Viggen Build.

    NG900 & OG9-3 Performance, Mods & Tuning
Great pics! Sounds like an amazing trip! When you say “500 HP”, is that wheel or crank HP? Did you dyno the car?
  7. 2.8 boost problems

Plug in your VTuner handheld and datalog some driving under heavier loads (WOT is great). Then review the logs and see if you have and knock retard going on. WIS has a procedure for diagnosing the wastegate actuator. I’d look that up.
  8. 2.8 boost problems

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
I’m thinking the wastegate actuator might be junk. But first, are you getting any knock retard? I’m assuming you’re running the highest octane you have available?
  9. Vermont Tuning for Saab NG9-5 2.0T Stage 0 270hp 290 ft lbs

Parts for Sale/Wanted - North America
It’s not that simple. The new owner will need to pay VTuner to license the new VIN. I’m guessing it will be an additional $350, but you’ll have to talk to Brian to know. I will say it’s a nice improvement on the NG 9-5 2.0T (and the 2.8T too, but different ECU). It’s the way the car...

  11. 2001 9-5 aero clutch problem?

    9-5 Workshop
Ok, after 4 pages and 78 posts, we’ve gone nowhere. There was some great advice in this thread, I’d advise the OP to re-read it. If this repair is outside of his/her technical ability, then he/she will have to pay for the right person to do the job.

  13. Anyone tried to order from saabpartscounter.com ? + what's happened to eEuroparts?

    C900 Workshop
I don’t think that is correct. I bought a fresh set of OEM wheels for my ‘11 9-5 Aero from that site and picked up the wheels right at Mitchell Saab. Great price and service too. I definitely dealt with and met up with actual humans. :) But to be fair, that was two years ago so not sure if...

Yeah, I’ve been seeing that the last few mornings when I jump on. But, I’m nuking all the ones I see right away. Not just deleted, but banned and their IP logged. Hopefully that helps prevent any one spammer from coming back easily.

Similar situation here. I had a ‘72 Sonett that I went to town on, no expense spared (www.WhatOnEarthIsASonett.wordpress.com). After 4 years of major work and re-engineering of the car, I just got burnt out on it. A lot of good enthusiasts got some top shelf stuff from me, and hopefully they...

  18. V6 throttle body question?

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
Pull the throttle body and give it a good cleaning and put a fresh gasket on it if needed. CRC makes a throttle body & intake cleaner that works well. If it’s never been cleaned, you’ll be surprised how much crud can be in it.
  19. Heat soak? Recap

    9-5 Workshop
Good to hear. The higher octane rating is surely helping you out, especially in hot weather. Modern cars can dial upwards of 5+ degrees of additional timing advance while running FlexFuel over the normal pump gas advance table. In your case, you’re getting to keep the full regular pump gas...
