  1. Good door speakers for '99 vert?

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Ah, in the subject... derp. :) You might look at these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008K2ENIA/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They fit perfectly, are nicely sized for the factory amp, and you can chuck the tweeter section and just run the woofer. These are probably...
  2. Good door speakers for '99 vert?

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
    Rear? Door? Dash? External amp?
  3. Low Oil Pressure

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
It could be a combination of factors, like maybe loose clearances leading to low oil pressure when hot in addition to poor pickup. This is where the gauge comes in. Oil turns light when it's contaminated by moisture - but if it's not using coolant and the sump wasn't left open & exposed to the...
  4. Broken Motor Mount Bolt

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
    Got it!
  5. 2001 9-3 se no start, no crank,no dash lights

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
I would say that's very unlikely. AFAIK the starter relay's sole purpose is ensure good power to the starter solenoid. I think if you're having problems with things working when they shouldn't and vice versa, it's not likely to be the starter relay. Further, Bosch style relays rarely fail. I...
  6. What’s this?

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
It does. It's the cabin temp sensor, used for ACC.
  7. 2001 9-3 se no start, no crank,no dash lights

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
    Nope.
  8. Two years of zero problems.

I think you missed about nine pages of posts and 18 months!
  9. Broken Motor Mount Bolt

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
I am probably missing something, but I don't see PMs on this new software... only "conversations" and there isn't one with you. I don't get it. :(
  10. Broken Motor Mount Bolt

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Looks like there are actually three bolts, but I do have one: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AqwvoBt9ZBp2gphbevcppwwangxxHQ It's about 15x8x4 so would fit in a USPS medium flat rate box. I don't need any cash for it, just shipping.
  11. Two years of zero problems.

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
I went on a mission to find a replacement for the wrecked Onstar antenna... since the headliner is out, it seems like the right time to replace it. After a lot of looking, I came to the conclusion that anything less than the $35 Saab gets for the dummy results in some sort of goofy adhesive...
  12. Broken Motor Mount Bolt

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
I'm confused about where the break is... but I think we're talking about the bracket on the engine, yeah? If so, I would just replace that bracket.... there have to be gobs of them around I'd think.
  13. Door Speakers have faint sound

    Audio, Video, Navigation & Security
Yes, if you didn't explicitly make a cable to connect to the factory amp OR do some weird wire splicing (like, door speakers to dash speakers) the door speakers would be silent. No input, no output. I think the DEH-150MP is two or three years old (based on the "series") so yeah, it should be...
  14. 2000 9-3 Dreaded Engine and Gear Box Light Any Suggestions

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Towards the bottom of this page: https://www.saabcentral.com/threads/two-years-of-zero-problems.688482/page-8 you can see a side view of the transmission, with both speed sensors visible. I believe the input speed sensor is on the right, and the output speed sensor is towards the middle t but...
  15. 2000 9-3 Dreaded Engine and Gear Box Light Any Suggestions

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Yeah, you can't do anything without the codes. Could be something as simple as a range sensor acting goofy or a wire harness got damaged. Could be as awful as a hydraulic problem. The AW50 is a good transmission, very reliable. If it's shifting properly and the fluid isn't cooked, it's probably...
  16. Low Oil Pressure

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Bypass valve is very easy - 30 minutes work at most... unless your air shields are gone, in which case a couple minutes. But, I would check with a mechanical gauge first, since the light is a very low number, and it being slightly off could be enough for this to happen without any good reason.
  17. Head bolts

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
    Hmmm… grease... nice!
  18. Low Oil Pressure

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Could be the oil pressure bypass valve getting stuck. Definitely need to check to see where it is with a mechanical gauge.
  19. Head bolts

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Be prepared for catastrophic failure? :) I retorqued the head bolts on my SPG to cure an oil leak. It worked! But 2 days later started gulping coolant. Oops! :D I would probably have a replacement timing chain pad on hand... as long as the VC is coming off, might as well replace the pad. Also a...
  20. Door Speakers have faint sound

    Audio, Video, Navigation & Security
Yeah... the "make a cable to adapt" bit would not indicate anything about using a wire harness adapter, since we're talking about discrete connection that is not part of any conventionally available "wire harness adapter kits." If, for example, you bought your setup from Crutchfield they would...
