  1. Timing Chain/Water Pump Replacement

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
Mine chewed up the guide a bit and clogged the strainer on the pick up with a lot of plastic shavings. So for piece of mind I would drop the pan to be sure.
  2. Dumb intercooler idea.

    9-5 Performance, Mods & Tuning
I just did the FMIC install on my 9-5 and needed to replace the radiator at the same time due to a leak. So I took the stock intercooler out, cut the tanks off and put them back it the middle of the condenser and radiator. The tanks have the mounts for the condenser and the oil cooler built in.

  6. Disappointed
I qualified for free shipping but I was still charged $8.99 to ship one $2.49 part you had at another warehouse. It's really strange that free shipping is just discounted...

    9-5 Performance, Mods & Tuning
I'm tempted to try them even though I have a wagon.
  8. Spring rate differences?

    9-5 Workshop
If you find a source for new ones let me know, mine are sagging something fierce in the rear
  9. Where are all the wagons gone???

    The Lounge
The downside to almost all those wagons is they have no rear room. I can fit a small block chevy and the groceries in the back of my 9-5 wagon with room to spare
  10. 18's or 17's?

    9-5 Performance, Mods & Tuning
I went with the same rims as he did and I love the look and the handling improved for me. I do get some rubbing in the rear when heavily loaded. My 9-5 is a wagon and is on sagging springs in the rear, so that is probably the main problem that causes the rubbing.
  11. Need Some Exhaust Ideas

    9-5 Performance, Mods & Tuning
I just went to my local custom exhaust shop, 1.5 hours later and $250 (installed) I had a cat back 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust with a dynomax muffler. Good sound great cost. Just call around to the local shops or stop by and get a quote

  14. Chicago Saab Owners Club Meet, Greet Tune and Eat

Event was cancelled 1 hour before the event by the tuner. I apologize, to any that showed up and didn't get the word. I know at least 2 people showed up to be disappointed.

  16. Found some cheap wagon spoilers on Ebay.

    9-5 Performance, Mods & Tuning
Post up some pics of the spoiler when you get the chance. This month I've blown the Saab budget, with a stage tune and a 2.5" cat back exhaust next week. Next month though:cheesy:
  17. Hmmm ebay lowering springs

    9-3 Sedan, Cabrio '04+, Combi, 9-3X Workshop
If they had these for a 9-5 I would give them a shot, they couldn't be any worse than my tired stock springs

  20. what did you do to your car today?

    9-5 Workshop
picked the mesh up at home depot, expanded steel, is what it's called about 10 bucks. You separate the black portion from the chrome. Then I used my saber saw to remove the black plastic slats. Cleaned up the edges with a grinding stone on my drill. Then cut the pieces to fit the openings...
