  1. 2002 Saab OG 93 Dies upon deceleration

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Not pushing you either way, but... No way that will happen. The fuel tank is in there so tight that you can go drive on the rainiest day possible and the top of the tank is still dry. There is a simple, unsealed plastic cap over the hole Saab left for access to the fuel pump wires - always...
  2. No injector pulse, everything else okay

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Good to know... I have a Tech II and have not explored it much. Also great to have a work around for the guys without one!
  3. 900NG Clutch Cable Replacement

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
FYI - In the EPC under 1998, they list the RHD 1998 as a cable, 4901740, so it looks like Saab didn't bother to do the hydraulic update in the UK (RHD) market until the 1998 9-3 came out.
  4. 2002 Saab OG 93 Dies upon deceleration

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
If your tank is full, I would go with the hole cut. Also, you avoid dealing with pushing around some very old hoses and clamps. Let sleeping dogs lie. MHO. The hole cut is easy to do, just a good set of offset Wiss shears. It you have a compressor, there's also the nibbler option or the air...
  5. 03 9-3 turbo fit an OG99 9-3 cov

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
If you have a 1999, it's Garrett T25. If it's a '00 or later OG 9-3 you have the Garrett GT17 or if a HOT car (8th digiit of VIN is K) you have a Mitsu TD04-15T. Are you replacing your turbo because it's got issues or looking to upgrade? EDIT: "Why not I thought all turbos can be exchanged...
  6. P0340 code on 99 saab 9-3 Help!

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Rony: Welcome to the group... nice to see you jump in to participate. But FYI - the post you responded to was an errant response to a six year old thread.
  7. Axle seals?

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Thanks. I have a new pair of the dust covers that I got during my engine swap. I thought that part # was the axle seal, but that's actually listed in the EPC under differential. Just trying to figure out where I messed up. Got it now. With everything back in and running, I will wait for some...
  8. Oil Pressure gauge - sender location?

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
If you want to install an oil pressure gauge... can you just "T" off the location where the current sender is? Is there space there for a T and another sender? Also, is the OG 9-3 NPT thread or metric?
  9. SRS Error / Programming

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
I have computer and replacement belt being shipped out. The belt doesn't look very good cosmetically but at least it will get me up and running with the SRS. I'm thinking that perhaps I could combine the two to use my belt and the other parts that the computer deals with from the...
  10. Blue Vert back on the road!

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Got the post-swap alignment done today. It was surprisingly close before alignment, considering there was no action taken to make sure the subframe went back on in the same place during the swap... and that I twice manually tweaked the steering angle to get the wheel straight again a couple...
  11. Axle seals?

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Question: The first one of these is the axle seal... and the second one is just a dust cover of sorts? Seal? 55353153 by OES | Axle Seal (Manual Transmission) Dust cover? 4925830 by OES | Seal
  12. 230k Mile Saab

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Yeah... not to beat this dead horse further into the ground... but I figure that any OG 9-3 you buy needs $1000 in parts. They all need the suspension done. They all need stuff from Jvan's list to make them reliable drivers. Body rust is a real issue (not the cosmetic stuff, but floors, rear...
  13. 1998 Saab 93 Sid Replacment

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Yep. Fit in the seat belt housing.
  14. ‘95 900 Soft Top Failure - Low on ideas

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Should be able to get a top computer in a junkyard for $25. They are rarely pulled at the u-pulls since they never go bad. I don't think I've ever seen anyone have to replace one. Might be some on Ebay.
  15. Cup Holder and Ashtray Delete - Sourcing/options

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
I have a both in my parts stock. I'll PM you. EDIT: Whoops, just remembered you're in Australia. I don't think shipping to there works. I also now see Jvan mentioned that. Sorry... worn out tonight and thinking slowly.
  16. 1998 Saab 93 Sid Replacment

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
coclem: If you have a convertible, I highly recommend replacing the map light bulbs in the rear seat with LED's. The stock bulbs will actually melt the holders if they are on very much. They are expensive to replace ($54 usd) and hard to find in a junk yard since lots of people need them. I've...
  17. Upper Strut Bar - Significant Difference?

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Good article. I'll be thinking about my custom top brace net... after attending to some important and unimportant other stuff!
  18. Heavy vibration

    NG900 & OG9-3 Performance, Mods & Tuning
Was that the only change? How beat were the mounts in the T5 that you took out?
  19. Upper Strut Bar - Significant Difference?

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Got my sub-frame brace installed (other thread). Initial reports are generally good although I've barely tested. Washboard pavement, the convertible's arch nemesis, is better but still gives some significant cowl shake, as expected. Rough road (lots of pavement defects in a row) seems a...
  20. Front Bumper Viggen .

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Make sure you get the black plastic mounts that attach the bumper to the fenders. They are different. Also get the under shields - they are also unique. You can run without the shileds but it's better with them. If you can get all the Viggen bits at a good price, I'd go for it.
