Is it a really high pressure, very fine spray? If it is not, take your Volt/ohm meter...lift the bottom of the rear set cushion...remove the plastic inspection cover and disconnect the quick electrical connector. Set the meter to OHMS and probe the two larger diameter wires coming from the fuel...

Welcome Zaxmyth. They're no limits to what can be done (in terms of performance) to Saab cars...or you can just drive and enjoy them.

Parts for Sale/Wanted - North America
ETS is being moved to the 2002 car..(just picked it up on Friday). Turbo is a low miles TD04-15T installed 65k at engine rebuild. It has the standard 9-3 inlet. The ECU is GS/Nordic STG1. Reasonable offer won't be rebuffed.
  4. Dare I Replace the SAAB?

    The Lounge
As somebody who made the choice to let a classic 900 go after 19 years of ownership, you will not find another car that'll give you the same feeling. You'll find faster cars, more comfortable cars...heck you'll even find more reliable cars but it won't be as rewarding. I went from my classic 900...

  7. Two years of zero problems.

All great answers.... We typically saw the fuel pumps fail at approximately 135k so if that was never done, I'd do it. CPS...sure. Why not? PCV update...okay...but more importantly, I'd drop the oil sump...clean it out and insist they never put anything but full synthetic in. Check oil pressure...

Leave the connector in place...back-pin it and look for 1.2-1.4 volts AC....not DC...at idle

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
What you'll need to do, is press the bearing in and seat it against one of the two circlips...then insert the other circlip temporarily and use the feeler gauge to determine thickness. Remember...the opening on the clips must face downward at assembly.

  11. Clunking noise when steering in reverse

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
You'd think it couldn't move because of the sheer amount of force it takes to press that bearing in...but we've actually proven it by using a small bit of Blue Dykem to track movement. It is very, very small when it happens...but it is there. It drove us nut for a while in the shop. We had a...
  12. Orange Headlamp relay issues

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
This is a known issue. The solder almost always breaks on these. If you are good at soldering and have a magnifying glass, you can fix it in five minutes.

  14. 500bhp road legal project for a Saab noob :)

    NG900 & OG9-3 Performance, Mods & Tuning
You realize that's not my statement on the HP request right? I think, if you have all the components built properly, a good realistic number to 'shoot' for is around 260-280 HP from any Saab
  15. 500bhp road legal project for a Saab noob :)

    NG900 & OG9-3 Performance, Mods & Tuning
"I haven’t set a budget but would like it to be as cheap as possible" I'd say that one sentence pretty much rules out the Quaife and all the other items needed to get anywhere close to the target. You'd almost certainly need not just good forged internal with 'I'-beam rods, but lots of very...
  16. 500bhp road legal project for a Saab noob :)

    NG900 & OG9-3 Performance, Mods & Tuning
You'd never be able to get that power down to the road without AWD. Stick to the 300 range and concentrate on good mounts and clutch to avoid slip. Don't wheel-spin any Saab...they don't like it much, and all you do is 'eat' gearbox.
  17. Is there no way to avoid pressing front bearing out/in?

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Make sure that which ever shop puts them in, they properly shims them for side-play. Bearings and hubs can, and often do have a bit of variance at manufacture. I always locate the bearing up against one cir-clip, temporarily install the second cir-clip and use a feeler gauge to measure the...
  18. 9-3 starting issues

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Are you 100% sure the starter is actually disconnecting automatically? Don't take this the wrong way, but I've seen this before.... and it was a case of the ring gear slipping relative to the flywheel. Happened to at least ten cars I personally know of.
  19. Loose hatch spoiler ends?

    NG900 & OG9-3 Workshop
Wow! You weren't kidding. I figured I'd look to see if anybody else had some in stock...they're none left. I may have to get my friend to 3D print some to keep handy, just in case I break one. I haven't even installed mine yet.
