    Hi there,
    Put a tap in what?. You dont "have" to remove the locating pins as you s hould have enough room to remove timing cover after you move the motor a bit.If you want to remove them, you can carefully grab them with some sort of plyers. Make sure you do not bend or nick them. You will have to source new one if you damage them. They are just simply by a very slight press fit-Hope this helps

    Hi t here,
    No, i did not remove any axles.I contemplated on removing the passenger side in fear of stretching the boot too much; howevert that was not an issue.Remember, you are only gaining about 1/2-3/4 ", BUT that helps ALOT!!
