Here's what it tells me every time I try to send a pm:

deweather has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her.

If you are trying to send this message to multiple recipients, remove deweather from the recipient list and send the message again.

You might want to send a message to the board admins to see what's up.

I've done a bit of buying and selling with SaabCentral users, and also met some in person. They've all been good people. But I know nothing about Kyle86 so I can't really answer that question.

If that's the only DIC you can find, I guess you'd have to go for it, but keep looking around for a newer one or for RockAuto to get them back in stock. It's better than damaging your catalytic converter or being left stranded on the side of the road.

BTW you are blocking private messages according to the message I get. Please change that if you really want to correspond via PM.

Well, you don't want to be driving with a DIC that's going bad, that's for sure.

I get a sense that new OEM units will be going up in price. The RockAuto deal may have been a limited sell-off. But I don't know for sure. What I do know is that Orio's prices are a lot higher. If Orio becomes the only source, well....

If you don't have any local junkyard or people parting their cars out, then, yeah, you'll have to pay for shipping. I'm surprised it's that high in the US, maybe the weight or size?

Finally, if the seller is trustworthy, and the DIC was working fine and was not triggering any engine codes, I would assume that it's good and will remain good for a while. Install it and keep on a lookout for other good used DICs.

    Hope this helps!
