Sorry, didn't realize it's an old post. Excuse the newbie.
Just in case someone is copying your list without knowing about the zillion post on the subject, the bulletin is
TSB 210-2417 ed. 4.
Do you know of any more important TSB's that came after you posted ?

Default Manuals for 2001 9-5, v6, 3.0 turbo aero?

I've been a saab owner for years owned 4 and rebuilt the engines on 2, and recently decided to pick-up an early 2000's model to reduce the mileage I was racking up on my new truck (and to actually enjoy the drive back and forth to work each day rather than dreading it...)

I found a stunning 2001, 9-5, 3.0 v6 Turbo for about half the blue book and snapped it up.

The current owners says the CEL is on because of a code for the theft deterrent system (??)

Now I'm trying to locate the shop manuals for this engine and am coming up with nothing. I see DVD's on Ebay and am wondering if they are how this engine was supported? any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to SaabCentral!!!

Yes the manuals on on CD it is called WIS ( workshop information System)

Read the codes and report back the only theft code is for the immobilizer IIRC

Oh and its best to post a separate thread with your problem instead of replying to an unrelated thread to get the most responses

Default The joys of being a newbie!

Thanks for the info on the DVD's they are a cheap enough solution!

I thought I HAD started a new thread, Blush...

I pick the car up tomorrow from the previous owner and haven't ordered a code reader yet. As soon as I trap the codes I'll report back.

Thanks for your reply and guidance...

Default Must disconnect battery for car to start

Any thoughts? I have a 2000 9-5 . The car did not start about 2 weeks ago, even though battery was only 18 months old, and had plenty of cranking power. Bought a new battery and had it installed. Car started right up. Next day, would not start. When this happens, I disconnect battery, hook back up, and it starts. Today it showed both engine malfunction light and Fault Indicator, automatic transmission light. Brought it to autzone, had tool hooked up and showed 1701 code. Tried to start car, had to disconnect battery, then hooked back up, both lights off, car started.
