Default Front Windows 91 900 Turbo Convertible

Ok, so have 2 window switch sets and cleaned up the interior switches on one just to see if the windows which were working fine could have been improved upon. Sod’s law, replaced the original switch with newly cleaned one. Only rear windows worked, thought it must be a dodgy switch so reverted back to the original and then exactly the same happened. Rear windows only..... why did I bother?!! Any ideas why this might happen and how I can solve it? checked all fuses all fine..

Also on a completely different topic, what are the red things in the photo?

I'd start by checking continuity of the switches. I'm sure there's a pinout diagram somewhere.

You can also test at the two-pin connector in the a pillar. The switches go to directly to the motors via those connectors. No power at the connector = no power going through the switch.

Think you forgot to add this link;
https://crawlsbackward.blogspot.com/...itch-pack.html

There is also a good write up on that site for repairing a non-working 900 dash clock which worked for me. Involved replacing a couple of caps in the circuit.
