Default Inline Transmission Fluid Filter - opinions?

What is your thought on Inline Trans Filters?

I'm running a Magnefine inline filter on my '03 9-5. Good idea or bad idea?

I'm no expert. Or mechanic. Just my opinion based on logic.

There is an engine oil filter to filter out carbon and crud from burning petrol. Transmissions don't have that problem. They do have bits of metal wear off from fiction. I think this is a much slower process, and fixed with tranny fluid changes.

An inline transmission cooler would be a better investment. High torque causes friction, friction creates heat, heat creates wear. Keeping the temps down would limit wear.

just my 10 cents

Remote cooler...in addition to the factory cooler or as a replacement to the factory cooler?
