Default 9-2X Hood Badge

Hello,
My daughter has a very nice black 9-2X. An otherwise well-intentioned person installed a new hood badge crooked and it's driving me nuts. How is it removed? Can the old one be salvaged?
Thank you.
Bill

It sounds like the PO used a stick-on badge, which looks pretty good if it's applied level. It should just peel off and then you can apply a new one for around $10-$12. That beats the heck out of a $50 OEM badge that will flake off in a few years... Ron

Default Install sticker or replace the whole thing?

Hi, I got one of the kits mentioned above for replacing the hood badge on our 9-2X (or the trunk badge; I'd better double-check) and am noticing that it came with the sticky part (with the graphic on it) as well as a shiny plastic base to stick it to.

Any experience on removing that base, versus prying off the old sticky part? Recommendations on which I should attempt first? Hesitant to remove the whole piece if it's not needed.
