Default not getting full boost.

hi a have just bought a saab 9-5 2.3 t hot aero love the car great all round it was ex demonstrator and supposed to be running 300bhp it has steel intake air feed but basic exhaust intercooler etc recently it has been not going into red in boost as if its being held back car has just had full service somone told mee it could be sensors next to dump valve a no very little about cars tbh but car goes like hell when in mood any ideas.
