Default Anyone Manage To Blow Up Their Motor/Tranny?

Hi Guys,

Just went to book the 93 in to have a 19T, Intercooler and injectors done. Mechanic seems a bit apprehensive. His worried I'm going to blow my motor up. Now I'm worried.

Has anyone actually bent a rod or burn a piston?. If so what tune and mods did you have?

I'm going with a stage 6. 19T Turbo, down pipe, big pipe DO88 intercooler and 630cc injectors with a BCB custom tune.

-Try and keep low end torque in check.
-Use good quality gas. If the injectors allow it maybe run an E blend.
-Good luck.

You can either buy one or be a slave to your mechanic/dealer when you need repairs. Your choice.

Never have less than TWO working key fobs.

Jesus guys, don't tell me good luck!. Sounds like I'm taking a massive chance?

I thought this was a calculated risk and Maptun, BCB , BSR , JZW flogged their tunes on a regular basis without issue?

I won't be able to sleep now

Good. Folks sell stuff that's the business they are in. Car is heavy, motor responds to tunes, buyer always wants more, and disappointment follows if you got too far. The boost ramp can kill the transmission. Hi torque low revs kills the transmission quickly. Everyday transmissions are killed. Rods can snap in two if too much torque is tuned. Pistons and rods and blocks can get destroyed by runaway detonation, etc. Lots of pictures available. Google: https://www.onallcylinders.com/2015/...ne-detonation/

A bit disappointed no one jumped in and said "I haven't blown a motor, but one night after copious mounts of alcohol I blew a tranny" .
