Exclamation saab 92x 2.5 sohc 5 speed cylinder 1 and 3 misfire

ok so when i first started getting misfires i took it in to autozone and they told me cylinder 1 and 3 are misfiring... things ive replaced/swiped in new parts. i replaced all spark plugs+wires, noticed a lot of oil was on both 1 and 3 spark plugs and boots so i also replaced the valve cover gaskets.. still misfires, swiped in new maf sensor.. still misfires.. now unfortunately i dont have a code reader so i cant tell you right now which cylinders are misfiring but ill find that out tomorrow.. i did have a solid CEL until i changed the plugs and wires now im only getting the flashing CEL for my misfire... so fyi my exhaust is broke at the end of my catalytic converter.. which a code did come up for the catalytic converter a long time ago hasnt since then.. so idk if my front(upstream) o2 sensor could be bad and maybe thats causing the code for a misfire? or if anyone has any better idea/solution before i spend more money than i can... umm also my idle is a lot better than it was but when i put in the clutch to go to neutral my rpms will drop below 500 and rise back up to normal 700 but i assume thats my iacv and im not sure if that would cause a misfire as well if anyone could help me out that would be great i have the next couple days off so i want to see if i can figure this out before i take it in to the garage on friday.

Oddly, I have had/have eerily similar symptoms. My catillitic converter efficiency is still poor which throws a code every now and then. And now, being a few months later, cylinders 1 and 3 are occasionally misfiring. My spark plugs and wires are brand new (6 months old). They were replaced alongside the valve cover gaskets due to oil seeping in.

What possibly can cause the misfiring?

First thing you should do for sure is fix your exhaust leak, not having the proper back pressure can mess a lot up. If you allowed your vehicle to misfire for a long time the excess fuel will overheat your catalytic converter. Which causes your cat to melt eventually and you will have a clogged exhaust. That is if your misfire is caused by something other than your fuel injectors being clogged.
