Exclamation USB to Serial port adapter brand?

Sorry if this has been posted a million times. I looked through the thread stickys and didn't find any mention of a go to brand of serial port adapter to connect a Tech2 to a Win10 x64 system.

Thanks

Thanks dspargo

I also found this on a Tech2 FB group. Not sure if others have seen it as well. That adapter along with a few others are listed.

If you really must use a USB-to-Serial adapter, you really should use the one linked here by dspargo. They are recommended for Tech2 use by GM.

I know that they are more expensive than others but they do work!

Frank.

I paid 29.00 at a local electronics parts store in Newington, CT for a cable made by Manhattan. The guy said he has sold 1,000 of them and never had one not work. It worked for me.

I took the advice of using the Keyspan High-Speed USB to Serial Adapter (USA-19HS) when setting up my XP machine for TIS2000. It worked first try. Just make sure it is set to COM1. Thanks dspargo, great advice.
