Default Bearing and Hub fun

Apologies for this - I know this has been covered before - but I have a specific question. I tried once and gave up when the so called suspension specialist screwed up the hub - and I didn't have the time so simply installed the second hand knuckle/bearing/hub sent to me by a wrecker. Recently I had another go with much more success after finding a shop nearby that was a little more adept at taking the bits apart for me - and then pressing them together again. In that case I have wacked the hub out of the bearing and knuckle with the help of a 32mm socker that fits in there neatly. On that one the smaller-outer portion of the bearing was left on the hub shaft but had slipped up to the top so that you could get something underneath it to pull it off.

This time the sucker has stayed at the bottom

There appear to be two indentations in the lip of the hub - is there a special puller that goes in there? I have a puller but the quality isn't that good and it's points aren't fine enough to stay in there.

If I can't get that one off I'll have to buy another - then I'll have 5 left hand knuckles - I know I've got 5 knuckles on my left hand but this is getting rediculous.

I'm some local sculptor could weld them together and make something eye-catching...

Hold the hub in a vise.
Tap the race off using a punch with the tip seated in the indentation
The race will "walk" off easily; I do it with an air hammer and the race comes off in seconds and flies across the shop.

Thanks Jim,

Don't have a vice or and air-hammer, but you gave me an idea. Bit of lateral
thinking, or in this case vertical thinking, required.

Turned it upside down and held it down on a bench with a big fat 10"
G clamp. Then wacked it down with a punch to start, then a half inch
thick 8" bolt. Just walked around it tapping at each quarter and it slowly
came down the shaft. Then had to put something underneath it at the
bottom to get it off. As they say, slowly but surely. Didn't fly anywhere
either.
