Default Liftgate Medallion

Just received my replacement medallion for the liftgate.

Before I go trying to pull the original off, I just want to make sure that it isn't held in place from behind.

The replacement has two rather chunky "pins" for alignment, and tape for sticking the sucker on - or so it appears.

Can I just cut through the tape on the original with some fishing line and pull the medallion off, or are there screws holding it on from behind too?

Thanks guys,

Mels

I don't think there are any screws front or rear, like you said the pins are for alingment. I just cut and pulled my front right off.

When I replaced my front badge, I used a hair dryer to soften up the double side tape, then used dental floss to slide between the badge and the body. Came right off, would imaging the rear gate badge is the same. Mine's due for replacement as well.
