Default NG 9.5 screen washer reservoir indicator doesn't work

Hi guys, had Saabs since 1982, but this one is causing me pain. All the older ones were no problem working on but seems no-one knows much about this version. I get no indication when running out of water in the screen washer reservoir. The sensor's good, the voltages are all there ok but even with the tech 2 my local friendly saab specialist can't sort it. Any pearls of wisdom would be gratefully received (apart from sell the car!)

The NG 9-5 doesn’t use the Tech 2, but rather the GM MDI for diagnostic work. Did you try researching this issue in WIS?

Default Sreenwasher reservoir warning

Hi Joshinator99, sorry about the confusion on my part, I've grown up since the dinosaurs with the tech 2, but in this case the problem was indeed attacked with the GM tool, by my friendly Saab specialist. I don't know if they spent any time with the WIS and unfortunately I don't have access to one here in the UK. They changed the sensor and checked the voltages which wre all good and interrogated it with the GM tool and could see no reason why it shouldn't work. Any more insight you may have into the prob would be gratefully received. The Saab guys think it's likely to be a programming problem as I have othet issues like auto headlights that don't,though you can switch them off but I'll post my other issues separately.
Thanks for your quick response

The Workshop Information System (WIS) is available to everyone, free of charge:

You definitely need that info, regardless of what NG 9-5 issue you’re working on.
