Could be a sticky APC/BPC valve. Ws it a new one, if not, have you cleaned the ports.
YOu should not get to fuel cut.
It means something is wrong, far too much boost or something radically wrong with the tune and the ECU can not get the knocking under control so cuts the fuel to save the engine.
It the last resort for the ECU to save the engine.
