As you may by now have guessed. I have a bit of a thing about 1960s and 1970s cars. Not necessarily dream cars like Ferraris and the like, but more your everyday cars.
However, there's no real rules to this section. It's just some cars I think are great. I'm also planning to continually add some more to this page, so if your favourite
car isn't here it might turn up at some point! You might just guess from this page that I'm quite keen on Citröens.
Right. Here goes.....
Citröen DS
Now this is just a gorgeous car. I prefer the later models with the faired in headlamps personally.
What concerns me about this picture though, is the guy admiring a Nissan in the background when he is standing about three metres away from one of the best cars ever!

Citröen GS
I like these cars as they're very pretty. Not particularly sporty or anything but just a good honest, yet innovative car.
|
Citröen CX
Another cool Citröen. I like the early ones with chrome bumpers the best. Note how Citröen's used to all have faired rear arches - this is to emphasise that they are front wheel
drive, something which was much more unusual at this time.

Citröen SM
I know, another Citröen, but just look at it. It's fantastic!
|
Mk1 Ford Granada
Yep, a big old seventies saloon car - just my cup of tea.
|
Lancia Fulvia Coupé
I know nothing about this car except that it looks cool.
|
Mercedes W123 saloon
Now this is my type of car. It's big, it's from the seventies and comes in classy colours like beige and brown
so I like it. I tried to find a decent one of these last year but couldn't find a good 2-litre anywhere so I bought a Saab instead. What I like
most about these are the interiors with those circular air vents. It's got to be an early model with the two round headlights for me.
|
NSU Ro80
A rotary engined car which flopped due to the engines only lasting about 15-20,000 miles. Looks pretty cool though!
|
 Saab 95 and 96
These cars look like nothing else on the roads. The 95 is the estate and the 96 is the teardrop shaped car. They started off powered by two-stroke engines and
ended up with a Ford V4 motor.
|
Suzuki SC100
Also known as the "Whizzkid" - this is what a small car should be like (Vauxhall take note!). Not many of these left on the roads now.
|
Triumph 2000/2500
This is a Mk1 - the Mk2 is also as cool as a well-chilled icecube.
|
VW type 1 Camper
Yes, I know it's not really a car.
