Hi - I have a 1998 9-5 2.3t SE with 80K on the clock. Running very well except:
I can feel a slight jolt or knock through the steering wheel, which is gradually becoming more obvious. The steering seems properly aligned and I have not noticed any noise associated with this condition.
This sensation occurs when the car body rolls to the right, such as in a LH corner, and to a lesser extent under acceleration from rest, and under braking as the car comes to a halt, both with the steering straight ahead. (Roll along at about, 3Km/hr and briefly press the brakes to ‘grab’ the road wheels, and depress the front suspension - release and repeat.) Right cornering is OK.
Just wonderedif you had come across this sort of condition before... Your ideas and suggestions on what to check/replace first gratefully received!

| Firstly tighten the 3 bolts on your steering column at the wheel end. If this does not work it is likely that you will have to replace the steering column Cheers | |
