Check Engine & Trans. and other lights, stall

Details:

GM 900, 1998, submitted by Slava
Question: Engine 2.3 non-turbo, automatic transmission. About two months ago my SAAB was driving perfect, but after I turn off engine I could not start it for some time and all check lights was poorly lit. Some time it started just fine. I brought it to the mechanic – it couldn’t find anything wrong. After that car was running fine for two mouths. Two week ago “check engine” light went off. Same mechanic found faulty oxygen sensor. Two week of happy life and now almost the same first problem again. Some times I could not start the car, “Check Engine”, “Check Transm.”, “ABS”, “SRS”, etc lights are half lit and engine stalls while driving. But sometimes it run fine. Any suggestions? Thank You.

Sounds like an electrical fault. Make sure earth at the starter is OK as this can sometimes cause problems
