Question about air bag deployment

I am considering buying an off-lease 2000 9-3. Does the on-board computer (black box) record if an air bag on the car was ever deployed? If not how does one find out if a bag was ever deployed?

| There is no way of telling if the vehicle air bag has deployed or not, if it is the body work of the vehicle which concerns you i.e. has it been involved in a smash, I would suggest an independant inspection, RAC or AA are good for this | |
