SRS / Hazard Light display

Details:

Classic 900, 1995, submitted by Mark Fothergill
Question: In the summer I had to replace the sensonic system on my car with a covential clutch. Since I got the car back the above lights have been constantly on. I am told that what is required is a special laptop programme in order to get the lights switched off. Something like a Tec 2. Could you confirm if this will do the trick and if this job is relatively straight forward to undertake

Tech 2 is a SAAB dealers hand held diagnostic tool which allows us to communicate with the Electronic control modules on your vehicle. The SRS light being on means that here is a fault somewhere in this system a dealer can identify this and diagnose your problem with tech 2. Sometimes SRS codes are generated by current spike as the current running throgh the loom is very specific. It may just be a case of clearing any fault codes stored on the ECM and away you go (if you are lucky) Cheers Graham
