Short Shifter??

Do they make short shifters for saabs?? my 9000 cs in specific?? I would love to decrease the shift throw

The dealer told me mine had a short shifter, im pretty sure it doesnt tho

Im probably wrong here , but I'm sure I've read somewhere that they're a bad idea ? Something to do with the 9000 not liking to be changing gear too quick ? Is this something to do with the weight of the flywheel ?

you will kill your tranny faster, because you will start banging gears, and beat the crap out of your syncros.

i ve cut mine off about two inches, i think the throw is beautiful and i never grinded except for 3rd gear. wic it did even wit stock shifter and also the fact of me destroying my differential pin due to the torque level i m at i wud say. wen the tranny was ripped open, the gear and the sncyros looked good

cutting the top down is not a short shifter.

well some companys(crappy ones) do just cut the top down for a shorter throw...however that screws up shifting if u like to rest your arm on the glovebox.....basically good short shifter change the pivot point below the shifter that u dont actually see....u gain a shorter shift but might take more effort and risk becoming notchy.........if your worried about your synchros double clutch.......thats what they HAD to do before synchromesh sooooooooooo yeah...but hell im driving a slushbox so what do i know
