Anyone know where the alarm is located on the above car as I need to switch it of due to a failing key fob. Its not in the engine bay! I'm assuming its factory fit.

The alarm/VSS unit is located below the LH dash vent, you need to remove pass airbag to locate.
Problem with disconecting is that you will have no immobilser code to Trionic, result non start, other option is to fit an early T5 ecu pre VSS.

buy a key fob, take to someone with tech2 tool (a.k.a. dealer) and enjoy paying £49 for a 3 minute job, while they reprogram the 'new' fob to your vss unit.

also, for reasons best known to saab the 9000 alarm ecu is not only fitted in the most inaccessible place you can think of but its also fitted in to a anti tamper metal case, unlike the ng900 where its under the seat and you can get to it in seconds
