Guys,
Does anybody have a nailboard, or harness drawing that will show me up to the front sidemarker light socket. OR how to get at that wire. My problem: Front end replaced twice due to road debris damage. (i know twice?) anyway - at some point one of the tech might have nicked the wire just behind the socket. It has corroded and one of the wires broke. there is not enought length for me to pull it out and splice in a new wire, and it is broken inside the socket. does anyone have a pic of this? do I have to go up thru the wheel well liner, or thru the foglight somehow. this should be simple, but I think it will not be.. |

You could get the e-code strips and do away with the side markers.

i popped the white LED out, spraypainted the orange lens with 2 coats of spray paint, and let them dry. popped them back in.. the flat black color matches the strips perfect, and it only cost me 5 bucks.

FYI, the connectors for the sidemarkers don't have the wire seals in them to keep water out.
I think I might put some silicone dielectric grease into the ones on my car just to prevent corrosion in case water or salt gets in. |
