so i was wondering what is the definition of a FULL 3inch turboback. i was thinkin of getting the 3inch catback from JSP. and buy the 3inch downpipe from Geniune Saab. Would that be a FULL 3 inch turbback exhaust system right there?

Theres 3 parts to our exhaust system.
The Downpipe Intermediate Pipe / Flex Pipe Cat Back Say you get the 3" DP and a 3" cat back, you will still have to replace the flex pipe with a 3" to be a true 3" turbo back. JSP and JT 3" come with the all the 3 parts to make it a true 3" turbo back unit.

I'm getting a custom 3" downpipe welded up for me this weekend by a Saab guy in Minneapolis. I'm ditching the cat, and we're also removing the center muffler.
The saabsport exhaust flows well enough that you don't need a true 3" turbo back until you're pushing 350-400hp.

That's a Mitsu exhaust. the cat's further back. that's it in the middle of the piping.

Full 3" = 3" piping all the way?

Why do you want to put on a open air intake if I may ask? Powerwise the stock intake with stock paper filter flows more then enough air for +400hp http://www.garaget.org/?car=61 |

Jak Stoll builds his 3" systems in stainless steel or aluminized/coated steel. I went with stainless from the turbo back because I intend to keep the car for a while and I live in WI - the US capital for salty/rusty cars.
In either case, he does fantastic work and I would recommend him highly. Mike |
