some one near me has an 85' 900 turbo for sale as a parts car for 200 bucks. i was wondering if the parts from this 85' would be interchangeable on my 87' 900 turbo. i guess the only thing that is wrong with the car is the engine needs to be rebuilt. thanks.

A lot of the parts are indeed interchangable. Anything specific in mind?

The expensive parts like the turbo, intercooler, transmission, gear box, parts from the engine.

All that stuff is completely interchangable, some of the engine internals differ, though.

Except for the distributor, which was different for only 85.
