Magical box?

So I've allways kinda wondered about this bos underneath my back seat. Can anyone tell me what it is and why there are numbers on it? Can i like switch it and make my car faster? (just kidding)

Mystery box?

Also, the little wire (blue and black) towards the bottom of the pic is just hanging there..attached to nothing. Does anyone know what that one is?

So I assume the 1-2-3 are settings for the amp? And seeing as how I have an aftermarket amp..it does me no good. I was kinda excited to see what it was...lol.

is it on the left or right of the car?

only reason i ask is that my abs control unit is under a similar hatch on the right under back seat (tho i forget what it looks like as i havent had cause to look at it for ages

I suspect that little black box is the GREMLIN contol board . Under no circumstances open it , the 2 wires are for the trolls to connect a modem to report back to Troll headquarters ,

If however ... you were to believe Bently for 1990 and later

there is a control unit under the rear seat on the right side . bentley 371-8 (16v manual )

Never had an abs car .. so no idea what they look like.,

The numbers .. no idea .. but there are 3 individual control circuits ..

FRONT L FRONT R and both rear .. so .. I DUNNO .. lol..

its a Mystery box ..

Ok...its on the passenger side underneath the back seat. It's below what appears to be the ABS unit. I will take additional pics today and maybe we can get to the bottom of it, you have no idea how much this bugs me!!

lol..maybe it was put in there by the Saab engineers to keep us busy and mystified by our cars.

Looks to me like an ABS box... pull off the carpet does it say "ABS Control Unit"

Another hypotesis: AN EXPERIMENT

SAAB engineers have been "fired", so now GM engineers works...
SAAB ones, which now have a lot of free time, decided to put a box with a microfone into, and test the reactions of car owner when he would have discovered it. Such as a "candid camera" or "The Big Brother".

Well I think that it is something to do with the ABS unit, but I still wonder what the switch is.

That's the HISTORY ERASER SWITCH!! Don't slide it to "1" or we'll all cease to exist! I'm sure "3" would do something nasty, too...

Actually number 3 engages the cloaking device, I've used this on many occasions when hiding from freinds who want a ride.

Number 2 activates the hydrogen converter that was standard on my model, Agent Q installed these upgrades for a Bond movie that never made it into production. It seems that he too, was confused on how to operate this device, we all know how he loved manuals.
