Default Request: Windshield wiper linkage diagram from WIS

My driver's side wiper linkage has broken/disconnected due to being trapped in ice, only the passenger wiper is working.

Could someone please post wiper linkage diagram from WIS? Thank you!

These are about the best I could find Here and Here. If they aren't good enough let me know and I'll spend a bit more time searching EPC and Wis.

Same happened to me.

Plastic joint had failed, so needed new wiper mechanism.

Thanks GJDavies. I just called the local Saab parts department and they told me the same thing. Saab doesn't carry parts for the wiper linkage they just replace the entire assembly including the wiper motor! $280 w/o labor!!

The MSRP on that part is $260, too.

Saabparts.net has it for $197.

I fixed my wipers! After getting under the hood I noticed a ball-joint had popped apart in the linkage.

I applied pressure to the two sections with a pair of pliers and it popped back together. My wipers are back in action!

Score: Me 1 , Dealer's Parts Department 0

oh, and wallet +$200

Having the exact same issue,

happened last night there was barely any ice or snow on the car (had just started snowing) and passenger side didn't go on and is loose i can move it by hand.

Could you give me some tips at what you did ? We got a huge storm now and I can't drive without my wipers!

Thanks for any help!

I used a huge pair of pliers to force the wiper ball joint back into place. It worked for about a year and then it failed, I had to get the entire linkage replaced. Give it a shot, but you will need to get the repaired. Try to find an indy Saab mechanic to do it for less $$ than the stealership.

According to the EPC, part number 12757154 is for the 06-10 cars. For the 03-05 cars, it shows a separate part for the spindle frame of 12785919 ($271 USD) which is superseded to 12755304 ($283.93 USD) for a LHD car.

So, it looks to me that Saab eliminated the spindle frame and replaced it with the entire assembly for $12.93 more.

You can check the price of the parts on Nick's http://genuinesaab.com/pricing/ web site... Ron
